We all know that the release of Star Trek has been pushed back until May 8, 2009 because of the writer’s strike.  However, some new details have been released on the TrekWeb site:

“J.J. Abrams “Star Trek” has been pushed from Christmas of this year to May 8th, 2009. When asked about plot details the panel could only confirm that there is a time travel element to the story and that it will feature both Leonard Nimoy and Zachary Quinto (”Heroes”) as Spock.”

Very cool, no?

Darn it. I’m really looking forward to the new Star Trek film and hate it that it’s been pushed back more than a year. I also have concerns, though, about what J.J. Abrams will do to it.
