Episode 414 Live Blog: “Clear and Present Danger” (Updated 2/4/09)

Well, the round up has begun. Peter Petrelli has become the enforcer supreme feeding into th stress of a post-9/11 America taking former friends like Tracey Strauss with him. We also find Sylar is indeed alive and now searching to find his true parents rather than his next victim. Hiro creates new super personae for himself and Ando. Matt discovers his calling to be a “prophet;’ and yet again Claire feels compelled to get involved. There is also a bit of a surprise in the end that I, as a good blogger am not at liberty to discuss without ruining your viewing experience for those of you who missed tonight’s episode…. The wackiness in back, Baby!

Be here Thursday (for this week) for a full review. Until then, be sure to watch the replay tomorrow.

A Few Quick Notes Before Monday’s Season 4 Premier

So everyone in America and likely around the world knows that this Sunday is Superbowl Sunday: The most watched TV event every year with those dudes in the helmets and pads putting their hearts into every tackle and catch because they can and because we like it! But for Heroes fans, Monday is a day of redemption. Season Four is almost upon us, Fans; and with it come so many clusters of ideas and theories and questions. Who will have the best power and who will have the most of it? What new characters might we see? Will your favorite webisodic adventurer be there? Who is good? Who is evil? questions as vexing as these have not been pondered since Mr. Owl’s timeless quandary concerning how many licks it should take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop…. But I digress.

I’ll be away this weekend, but to hold you ravenous wolverines a bay, I have some homework (or rather “homeplay”) for you.

The heroes are Back this Monday!

YES! Finally, the new season of Heroes begins this Monday with the story getting more horrible and dystopic by the minute! Nathan is headed to Washington to weed out the evil elements by preying on the public’s national security fears and feeding off of his own insatiable urge for worldly power. He’ll round ’em up in his fictional Guantanamo chamber with a decidedly more deadly intent than the real-life version.

But how will the heroes respond? They seem to have no where to run or hide. Will Peter take the lead? Will Claire take up her perceived cause to save the world? What will become of Sylar? Is he really dead? Lastly, where does Angela fall into this equation?

Don’t miss the Season Four permier this Monday! I know I won’t!

The Hilarious Zeroes Webseries Parody

A couple of weeks ago, I theorized a handful of totally useless and certifiably insane powers like being able to babysit the baby Jesus and the wonderfully stupid ability to turn every meal into breakfast; and my personal favorite the ability to work on federal holidays. But the Heroes creators have apparently been up nights scanning my frontal lobes for ideas while I’m asleep because their new webseries Zeroes is quite blaringly all of my style and a bag of hot, hot, Chilean potato chips! It pits unsuspecting dweebs and their inane powers against all the other folks who just don’t give sh***. Powers include the ability to kick one’s self repeatedly in the back of the head, copy talking four year-old style; and one guy can in fact can paint the future with a few minor setbacks like that fact his paintings are of stick figures and worse his prophetic visions equate to trivial occurrences such as the ever-popular “save a man about to fall into a birthday cake” routine. Oh, the majesty!
